Summary
DescriptionSherwood Inn Skaneateles.jpg
The Sherwood Inn at 16 West Genesee Street in Skaneateles, New York was founded on its current site by Isaac Sherwood in 1807 as a tavern, and passed through numerous owners – and numerous names – throughout the decades. In the late 1860s, John Packwood added a third floor, east and west wings and a balcony, and named the new concern the Packwood House. It was used as a temporary hospital during the 1918 influenza epidemic. The Sherwood Inn name was restored in 1945. (Source: [1])
