Dewas is a town in Madhya Pradesh in India. Dewas is 35 km from Indore on National Highway 3.

Dewas has direct trains for all the major cities of India. Premium trains that services Dewas include the daily Awanitka Express from Mumbai and the thrice-weekly Pune-Indore Express from Pune. There are two daily trains from New Delhi, the Hazarat Nizamuddin Intercity Express and the Malwa Express.

  • Devi ki Tekri. The Tekri can be climbed by two ways one through steps and another through slope. We took the slope way which was more lengthy but easier to climb.
    In the south of the tekri is the temple of Tulja (Elder ) Mata. According to historians it is contemporary to the temple of Chamunda Mata. In the temple is the half statue(upper portion) of the Goddess Tulja. Goddess Tulja and Chamunda are both sisters.
