Don Khong (ດອນໂຂງ) is an island in Si Phan Don in Laos. It is very often confused with the smaller but more popular Don Khon (ດອນຄອນ) to the south.

Understand[edit]

The island has about 20 villages with many inhabitants on Don Khong making a living by fishing. It is not as built for tourism as the other islands nearby but offers a glimpse into the lives of Laotian locals who depend on the Mekong River.
