Nederlands: Vegtvliet/Vechtvliet: buitengewoon representatief woonhuis gebouwd rond 1665 voor de Amsterdamse koopman Willem van den Broeck naar ontwerp van Phillips Vingboons. Het rijksmonument verkeert in zeer goede staat.
Het object is prachtig gelegen, pal aan de Vecht met aanlegplaats en heeft een Vechtoever van circa 180 meter. Het huis kenmerkt zich door de fraaie en voorname vormgeving. Sinds de bouw is het elke eeuw een keer gerenoveerd, met als belangrijkste die van rond 1750. Bij die gelegenheid werd het van oorsprong classicistische gebouw aangepast aan de rococostijl van die periode. |
