Geisenheim is a town in the Rheingau of Hesse, Germany. It includes the villages (Stadtteil) of Johannisberg and Marienthal.

The home of Spätlese ("late harvest") wine. The Geisenheim Grape Breeding Institute was founded here in 1872, the only institution in Germany where you can get a degree in Winemakeing.
