Træna[edit]

The article now says the Blue Highway begins/ends in Træna, an island in the Atlantic Ocean. But all the Wikipedia articles — except the Swedish and Hungarian ones — about the Blue Highway say the road begins either in Mo i Rana or Nesna, both on the mainland. The Swedish and Hungarian WPs just say the highway begins there without giving any source. And the Google search "Træna Blå vegen" just shows some news from a local newspaper. Is there any evidence that the road stretches out in the Atlantic Ocean instead of starting at the coast like even the Norwegian WP says? --ϒpsilon (talk) 15:45, 14 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

I believed the Swedish Wikipedia. I cannot quickly find any reliable sources at all. Who is responsible for the route (or owns the trademark or whatever?). The user who added Træna seems to still be active, perhaps he has something to tell. --LPfi (talk) 10:28, 15 October 2017 (UTC)Reply
There doesn't seem to be any website for the entire route, the Finnish and Russian parts have a website each, the Swedish part has a PDF brochure and the Norwegian part has nothing about the route, just a skiing competition and news from the aforementioned local Ranablad newspaper.
The Swedish WP editor doesn't seem to be editing very frequently (your question on their talk page is unanswered), and apparently they've switched off the e-mail this user function as well (if there is one at sv WP). ϒpsilon (talk) 15:13, 26 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
LP, that user apparently has made a couple edits in the spring, so they must have seen the message you wrote on their talk page but ignored it. Probably we should just change the starting point of the highway to Mo i Rana, like pretty much all sources say. ϒpsilon (talk) 18:07, 22 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
I suppose that would be OK. Also the image should be removed. --LPfi (talk) 18:28, 22 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Yes Done. --ϒpsilon (talk) 19:00, 22 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Via Maaninka or Vesanto?[edit]

There seems to be confusion about the route between Viitasaari and Kuopio: fi-wp says the route goes along road 77, the northern route through Keitele, Pielvesi and Maaninka; some roads along the the southern route through Vesanto, Tervo and Karttula are called "Sininen tie" (Blue Highway); en-wp mentions attractions both in Tervo and Maaninka; sv-wp describes the northern route (possibly using fi-wp as source); and our article mentioned Vesanto.

Is there a fork with alternative routes? Has the route changed? I suppose we should describe the routes as alternatives, but it'd be nice to be able to tell their status.
