Merge with Burley?[edit]

I doubt this is going to grow much, and would suggest merging with Burley. Thoughts? --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 20:02, 15 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

I have no objection. I don't know the area, so I defer to your local knowledge. Ground Zero (talk) 20:59, 15 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm conflicted. It's almost a usable article (needs a Get in), but I also agree with tt! and would defer to their local knowledge. --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 03:10, 16 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I've added Get in and some other info. Ground Zero (talk) 10:46, 16 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, that's great. I guess the lack of a 'Get in' was not really my concern, more that there aren't enough things to see or do in Bransgore to justify it as a destination in its own right. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but you made it to house the Heathfield self-catering listing, rather than through sudden inspiration based on the village's touristic merits.
(TT! is a he - most of the time) --ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 19:07, 16 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I very much made the article as a home for some listings from the New Forest article that were crying out to be moved out of the region article, so I don't mind if it is merged. But now that the article exists, does it serve readers better on its own or merged? Ground Zero (talk) 19:22, 16 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I suspect anyone planning a trip to the forest wouldn't be sorry if there wasn't an article for Bransgore, given the lack of attractions other than two churches. Wikipedia's description of it having "the picturesque character of a rural English village" is a tad generous too; while there are a couple of pretty cottages, it's mostly modern. But the listings created and merged would certainly improve Burley's article. -- ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 19:57, 17 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
