Get in by plane

This article needs to cut down on the detail on these other city's airports (such detail needs to be moved to the respective city articles), and this article needs to just point to those articles and focus here on just telling how to get here from those airports. I'm going to go ahead and remove the addresses now as for airports they tend to be mailing address unhelpful to the traveller anyway, but this section needs to be cut down quite a bit beyond that too. User:(WT-en) HohneG6 asked for comments on the status of this article. Definitely at Guide standard and quite a strong one at that. Congratulations to those who have worked on the article. Engraving?

I'm a little concerned that this image does not conform to our image policy which says "Wikivoyage does not use montages, or really any type of image other than maps or simple photography." We do not normally use artist's impressions, and only very rarely do we use historical photographs, and this image is both of those things. Does anyone share my concern here? According to current policy, that image should be removed. I happen to think it adds to the article, but policy says not to use images of that nature. --(WT-en) burmesedays 11:12, 11 September 2011 (EDT)

I'm not fussed either way, but it seems a pity - what's the reason for the policy? Is it law or can there be exceptions? It's there to complement the historical section, so it's apt. --(WT-en) SaxonWarrior 15:15, 11 September 2011 (EDT)

I know of one exception to the historical photographs thing at Hiroshima (a well-reasoned exception, I reckon), but I don't know of any instances where we have allowed an artist's impression to be used. I imagine the rule's there because art is more subjective and if we start allowing artists' impressions then we'll never all agree on the aesthetic merits of each one. Plus, such images lend a more encyclopedic flavor to the article, something we try to avoid. (WT-en) texugo 20:51, 11 September 2011 (EDT)
