What is a desert castle?[edit]

This picture shows the Bayir castle
This shows the Bayir castle. Can it be considered a desert castle? I know the picture isn't very sharp, but it does its job for the discussion page!

I think we can be certain that the Umayyad Castles such as Qasr Amra can be considered desert castles. But, there are others such as the castle in Bayir, which is not Umayyad, but pretty recent. It isn't really what one thinks of, when they say "Desert Castle". Nevertheless, it is a castle in a desert. In fact, from the outside it looks more like a castle than the Umayyad ones. I added a picture, so you can make your own judgement: Should it be added to this page?

At least one of the "desert castles" already listed is a hamam, so if that qualifies, then Bayir should too. This with the caveat that I know nothing more about qasrs than what I've read on this article.--ThunderingTyphoons! (talk) 15:02, 29 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
