Merger[edit]

The Gulf of Edremit has five pages all of low quality. I propose merging Akçay, Altınoluk, Güre and Burhaniye all into Edremit.

The merged page could also be called "Gulf of Edremit" but it's better to use a city placename. The analogy is Keşan, which swept up half a dozen little resorts along the Gulf of Saros. Grahamsands (talk) 19:37, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

On the ground they are all one conurbation anyway, albeit with some identifiably different but not-very-major selling points distributed among them (e.g., hot springs for Güre). As for naming, on the one hand, Edremit is perhaps the least touristy of them, but on the other it is the largest, so I don't really have a preference. I don't know if you intend to provide text about Küçükkuyu (wp), but it could also be added here, since the actual conurbation starts there, although officially in another province. Let's see how this goes. Vidimian (talk) 22:41, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, that's done. Küçükkuyu gets a brief mention on the Assos page, and I was inclined to leave it there so the page boundary coincides with the district boundary. We could reconsider if there's a lot of content to come that drags it into the orbit of Edremit. Grahamsands (talk) 18:45, 6 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
