Title[edit]

"Italian Lake District" sound confusing. It is possible to talk about lake Maggiore together with the small lakes of tha area (The "7 lakes" of Varese province for example), but I have never heard of something like a "lake district" encompassing all the lakes in Northern Italy. It dosen't sound 100% right, IMHO.--Alexmar983 (talk) 16:28, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

i would remove at least Como and Garda from the "Regions" section.--Alexmar983 (talk) 16:30, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This needs some sorting out. We have a separate article on Lake Maggiore as well as this one. That seems silly, nut I do not know the area so cannot tell what the solution might be. Pashley (talk) 23:55, 27 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
There is no such thing as the "Italian Lake District" or at least it is not an institutionalized or formalized district. People do refer to the Italian lakes as an area, because indeed they are all located more or less near-by. Italian Lakes would be a much more suitable title for this article and it makes sense because there is also quite a bibliography using this expression as a title. --Iopensa (talk) 21:05, 30 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
