Getting Around vs Getting In[edit]
A lot of the content for Getting In was more appropriate in the Getting Around section (i.e., taxis, buses, etc.) If anyone can suggest some interesting ways to get to Jeddah aside from flying in, please add it in. - Being a overland travel geek, I know there at least used to be services from Egypt by El Salam, but their website is blank - being Egypt this of course doesn't mean anything, but we should at least try to confirm it (maybe thorn tree can help). There should also be a service to Suakin run by combined freight/passenger service by Baaboud shipping - but again, those folks from the middle east could really benefit from learning a thing or two about information services. --(WT-en) Stefan (sertmann) Talk 14:18, 2 April 2009 (EDT)
- No trains in Jeddah, although they're talking about building a whole bunch (north up to Medina and east to Riyadh). Ferry services to Egypt use ports further up north. (WT-en) Jpatokal 22:44, 2 April 2009 (EDT)
- Lonely planet claims both ferries to Suez, Egypt & Suakin, Sudan are still running.
