Talk:Ko Tarutao

Does it make sense to have separate articles for this and Tarutao National Park, or should they be merged? (WT-en) Jpatokal 01:11, 1 March 2007 (EST)

I don't think these articles should be merged. "Koh Tarutao National Marine Park" refers to 51 separate islands. Many of these islands are very different from each other; for example Koh Lipe, one of the islands in the national park, is a resort-based island featuring dozens of resorts and many tourists, whereas Ko Tarutao Island is more nature trail oriented. Therefore, I think all of the major islands in the National Park deserve separate articles in Wikivoyage. Ko Lipe in fact does have a seperate article. Ko Tarutao should have the same.

I agree that these articles shouldn't be merged. Maybe Tarutao National Park could be a sub-region of the Andaman Coast region, with the islands that have accommodation facilities listed in there? (WT-en) globe-trotter 16:16, 3 January 2010 (EST)
