Cyprus Beaches

Cyprus doesn’t have the nicest beaches in the world with white sand and all that we associate with it, but they are not bad. There are better beaches in the Turkish occupied area – notably Farmagusia. And you cannot go surfing there, as the Mediterranean Sea doesn’t produce waves, but for many people it makes it nicer.

The beaches in general, are gray and some have stones. The public beaches are mostly cleared of stones, however. There are some swimming areas where there are a lot of stones in the sea, but again, where most of the tourists go it’s pretty much cleared of such debris. The sea is mostly calm where it’s like swimming in a lake and the water is clear that you can see down to your feet.
