South Beach[edit]

I'm thinking that Miami/South Beach should be incorporated into this article and not as a separate district in Miami because technically South Beach is part of the city of Miami Beach. I'm not sure if a lot of people agree with me on this, though. (WT-en) THE evil fluffyface 17:53, 3 October 2007 (EDT)

As I'm editing these Miami pages I've moved a lot of stuff into the South Beach article, actually, and I think it's important to keep up the distinction from the rest of Miami Beach because of how well-known it is as a district. As for Miami vs Miami Beach, I thought maybe we don't make that distinction because most travelers won't know the jurisdictional boundaries, even though they are two different cities. In other words I actually think Miami Beach should also be considered a "district" of the Miami article. However, I don't know how well this works, it's definitely just my opinion. Districtified?[edit]

Two of the three district articles are fairly short (Miami Beach/Mid Beach and Miami Beach/North Beach). Did Miami Beach really need to be districtified? Should the districts (including Miami Beach/South Beach) all be merged into the parent article? (I'm proposing, not volunteering.) --Nelson Ricardo (talk) 01:01, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The South Beach article is long, though. Is there any way to subdivide that into more than one article? Ikan Kekek (talk) 01:33, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
True (704th longest WV article), but the Miami Beach "parent" article itself isn't very long. Might be easier to transfer content from parent & other districts to South Beach and then move SB to Miami Beach. --Nelson Ricardo (talk) 01:47, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think the logical thing to do if there's a decision to merge the content is create subsections for each district in each of the relevant sections ("Sleep", etc.) and merge the material here. I don't see why we'd want to transfer content to the South Beach article. Ikan Kekek (talk) 04:09, 24 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
