Regions[edit]
I propose we use the 5 official mesoregions of the state as subregions. They are:
- São Francisco Valley (Pernambuco)
- Sertão (Pernambuco)
- Agreste (Pernambuco)
- Zona da Mata (Pernambuco)
- Grande Recife
Fernando de Noronha can just remain as a separate destination directly under the main state region. Any comments? Texugo (talk) 01:40, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
Petrolina[edit]
- belongs to St. Francis River Valley! It's opposite Juazeiro in Bahia. The river separates the two cities. 200.252.135.74 12:57, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

Merge São Francisco Valley, Sertão and Agreste?[edit]
Sertão (Pernambuco), Agreste (Pernambuco) and São Francisco Valley (Pernambuco) only have seven destination articles categorized beneath them combined. All three region articles are in a deplorable state as of writing this (May 18), so are there any objections to merging these into one? --SHB2000 (talk | contribs | meta) 12:30, 18 May 2023 (UTC)

@Ibaman, SHB2000: What should the merged article be called?
- Western Pernambuco
- Pernambuco Interior
- Sertão (which seems to mean "hinterland" in English)
