There are also some nice camping locations on Saltspring.

There are also little stands all over where you just put money in a slot and pick up local farmer wares.

Ganges guide[edit]

Note - I redirected the empty Ganges guide to Salt Spring Island. I'm not convinced Salt Spring is big enough to need individual articles on its communities like Ganges, Fulford and Vesuvius, so from a travellers point of view, it can probably all be covered in the one Salt Spring Island guide. - (WT-en) Shaund 01:00, 14 April 2012 (EDT)

It should move to Ganges (BC) to avoid confusion with one of India's main rivers. "Ganges" should either be deleted or become a disambig page; I prefer the former because we do not have an article on the river. Pashley (talk) 00:39, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply
Well, Ganges BC appears to be the only destination we would write an article about in Wikivoyage (since we don't write articles about bodies of water and I don't see any other places in Google called Ganges), so I'm not sure Ganges (BC) is necessary. The river is better known without a doubt, but it seems odd to create a disamig page for one town and a river that we shouldn't have an article on. And I don't agree with deleting it -- it just leaves it open for someone to create the article again. My preference is to leave it as is, but I can live with making Ganges into a disambig page if people think the current setup is confusing. A disambig page could be made more useful if it pointed to Salt Spring Island for the town in BC and listed states or major cities along the river. -Shaundd (talk) 05:39, 16 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Name?[edit]

Why on Earth is the article under this name? To me, it should obviously be at Saltspring Island.

I have never before seen the name as two words. Wikipedia uses Saltspring, albeit (to my surprise) with a redirect from the two-word form. Even the article has "Salt Spring (Saltspring, one word, by everyone local)". Pashley (talk) 00:39, 5 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

I've just created Saltspring Island as a redirect to this one. I see both spellings in use, but the "Salt Spring" spelling is supported by Salt Spring Island Chamber of Commerce, Salt Spring Studio Tour.com, BC Ferries, Salt Spring Tourism, and BC Tourism's page on the island.
