Would like to add boroughs as sub-regions to the regional areas of Alaska. It is the only logical subdivision I can think of.

In principle, I support this idea. But is it a good idea to do this now, when there is so little content on this page, and only four cities/towns listed? If you intend to fill out the sub-regions, and to create a bunch of new city/town articles, then I say go ahead. However, I think the Aleutian Islands should remain a separate region in any breakdown, since they are so commonly recognized as a distinct travel region. --(WT-en) Peter Talk 19:36, 20 August 2009 (EDT)
Peter - I followed the link you gave me in the note about dividing regions into boroughs, but it ended up here when I meant it to go to the Southcentral Region. However, if you don't want it to be done that way here, maybe we should skip dividing it into boroughs anyplace in the state, if we're going to be consistent, that is. I would be interested to hear suggestions about other ways of subdividing these very large regions.

Southcentral is already a more crowded article, so I say go ahead. We can certainly subdivide this article into boroughs in the future—I'm just not sure it makes sense to do it until this article has attracted a bit more content (best not to spread our content to thin). So, go ahead ;) --(WT-en) Peter Talk 21:57, 20 August 2009 (EDT)
