Consistency in use of Spanish or Valencià

The Eat section says, 'Try horchata a drink made from "xufa"'. Horchata is the Spanish spelling, and xufa is the Valencià spelling, so it's inconsistent. Is there a wiki convention on labelling things in two languages? Something like 'Try horchata (Val: orxata), a drink made from "chufa" (Val: xufa)'.

Fallas text

It looks like the Fallas festival text might be a copyvio from here, among a few other places - or it could be the reverse, where they've simply stolen our text. (The other sites look a bit spam-ish.) I've left it alone for now — what do you think? (WT-en) Gorilla Jones 17:12, 23 May 2009 (EDT)

Now, 6 years later, it still looks like it's either copyvio or has been stolen by other sites. I think it should be edited, probably in part by summarizing. Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:04, 17 October 2015 (UTC)

I agree that this text should be completely rewritten. I'd been planning to rewrite it after I experience the festival next spring as I'm not entirely comfortable writing about something I've not seen myself, but I'll add it to my list of things to do here when I have a bit more time… unless of course someone else gets to it first. –StellarD (talk) 19:21, 18 October 2015 (UTC)

Minor edits un the Understand section

I considered it was necessary to change/add a few things, since it seems that the article was written by someone who is not strongly related to the city.

The idea of Valencia living back to the sea is much weaker than it used to be, after important infrastructures mentioned in my contribution, such as the esplanade, the marina and the tram to the beach neighborhoods.

The climate subsection had inconsistencies. If you talk about average temperatures, you can't say they move from 35 to 40°C. You're definitely talking about absolute maximum temperatures. Having said that, the 40°C barrier is rarely reached so near the sea, which softens the weather. Another thing that surprised me was this text in the fall (autumn) description saying that sidewalk cafes are open until the end of October. That's not true. Sidewalk cafes/terraces use to work all throughout the year in Valencia, except for the occasional rainy or really cold days.

Hot springs

It is necessary to name these hot springs. They maybe are the Montanejos Springs, but these are irrelevant to indicate here, since this page refers to a wikivoyage to an important city and not to the mountain landscapes. It would be different if hot springs would be located in the city itself, as it happens in the city of Orense (Northwest Spain) Fev (talk) 00:03, 26 October 2015 (UTC)

Two requests

For someone who knows, please enter some information under...

- "Get in" for cruise arrivals...at least for one-day visits, e.g., where docked, perhaps public transport nearby.

- "Get around"...perhaps under the "Bus" sub-section...information about any hop-on/hop-off bus(es) that may operate in and about the city.

Hi Hennejohn, there is indeed a hop-on/hop-off bus that stops by the port area; I can add that information when I have a bit more time, probably sometime later today or tomorrow. I do not know the exact location where cruise ships dock – it's presumably not too far from the ferry terminals. Assuming you will be personally visiting Valencia on a cruise, it would be great if you could note the GPS coordinates and add that information to the map, or note that information here and someone else will place it on the map.
