V.S.K.Valasai is a village in Dindigul district in the south of Tamil Nadu.

One can get into the village by train station located in nearby city of Dindigul, some 26 km away. Dindigul is well connected by rail link to many major cities of India such as Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai (Bombay), and Delhi.

V.S.K.Valasai is 27 km away from district capital Dindigul, and 56km from Madurai. The Major District Road-1111 (from Kanavaipatti to Ayyalur) is pass through V.S.K.Valasai, which connects National Highway-45 and SH-35 roads. The city is well connected by buses to all populated areas in Dindigul district via state government operated and private buses.

  • Pidaariyamman Kovil & Thiruvizha (Hindu Temple): This is a big and famous temple at Valasai. Every Friday and Special pooja day lots of people are coming to this temple. The famous festival (in Tamil called Thiruvizha) on this temple celebrated every three years. This festival is celebrated for about 17 days. It is not just a Temple ritual, but is a grand festival for the whole village. Around 30 village peoples nearby this place will come with their families and celebrate. It begins with Kaappu Kattuthal and concludes with Poo Palaku (procession in flower decorated pallaku). On each day, the Amman (the Deities) will be nicely decorated and taken in procession, once in the morning and once in the evening. All the schools will be closed for a week. Kids are very excited and eagerly waiting for this week. They have a lot of fun like Giant Wheel, Balloon Shooting for Kids, On the spot Toys Store, Music Shows, Dance Shows every night, etc. The temple was started in 1972. The ladt Village Festival ("Kovil Thiruvizha") was celebrated in August 2014.
  • Karandhamalai Reserved Forest is a nearby Hill area surrounded by trees and it has 8 hairpin bends. There are several mountains and peaks, which will give an eagle view of V.S.K.Valasai and Dindigul East area. Also, these peaks are quiet good for trekking. There are few permanent waterfalls and many seasonable waterfalls and many Hindu (folklore) temples are located in the forest. There are varieties of animals and reptiles in this forest.
